______________________________________________________________________________
Father, brother, son, friend, freelance writer, musician and artist, born, raised and still reside in, Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
Born Larry Thomas Pattison Jr, the pseudonym ‘Lawrence Thomas’ was adopted during a University chapbook project, in which our teacher, the late Kerry Schooley (aka John Swan), and a handfull of fellow students, put together a chapbook for an erotic fiction class we were enrolled in.
Being a little reserved about having my real name at the top of my own erotic fiction story, I opted (as did many of the other writers who took part in this chapbook collection), to write under a pseudonym.
I still use my real name for some local writing but for the most part, I now mostly write under the name Lawrence Thomas.
My two little girls (5 and 3), are my world. I love animals (I have a 3 year old lab/collie), cats (I have a 2 year old tabby), and my girls also have a handfull of fish. I am very lucky to have great friends; many of those having been life long or have been in my life for a long time, and a very supportive family.
Nobody ever said life would be easy, but we only have one life to live so I am just trying to live it the best way that I know how. It’s not always easy; believe me I realize this more than I wish I did, but I try to tell myself that everything happens for a reason. I just wish sometimes it was a little clearer what those reasons were.
My friends mostly call me Larry, but many new friends, including fellow bloggers and some of my band mates, call me Lawrence. I like both. I was always a big fan of Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens), so dual writing names seems to be appropriate.
I like sports (hockey and football mostly), as I have played hockey since a young child, and I enjoy taking in Tiger-Cats games. I also love a good old ball game on a sunny summers day. Fenway park is my all time favorite ballpark, outside of Ivor Wynne Stadium of course. I am not as big a sports fan as I was growing up. I am simply not a fan of the corporate side of sports, but I like what sport teaches our children.
Music is my biggest pasttime passion, and I am a fan of everything from Jazz (Harry Connick Jr. and Frank Sinatra), to hard rock (Nickleback), and everything inbetween. Rush is my all time favorite, with Bruce Springsteen being a close second. I also have a soft spot for the 80′s. I can’t help it.
