Suicide And The Secrets We Hold
Also published on Raise the Hammer March 31st, 2011. No More Blue Skies It was a picturesque, blue sky, no clouds, sunny Monday morning. The skies had been bright for the better part of a week. It was the kind of day that if I was dying, I imagine I would think about how I’d … Continue reading
Creative Monster’s (Dear Editor)
I have sat across a bar room table with this person, both drunk and emotional, and listened as powerful words of past regrets emptied out of their aching heart. Looked deep into their eyes at a pain I have not known in any others eyes. Their regrets weren’t directed at a certain instance, rather just as regrets, but the eyes of their soul lead me to believe without a shadow of a doubt, that those apologies sent into the airwaves for the earth to absorb, without words spoken, were more heartfelt than any apology I have ever experienced. Fear and Honesty
Recently, a friend of mine over at Tara Cronica, wrote a post about Honesty. Tracy (Westerholm) has always inspired me with her honest, tell it like it is writing style, but after reading this particular post, I was left with a feeling that there was a little blog karma going on between our two sites. … Continue reading
Finding My Religion (The ‘G’ Word)
“All of us are creative. We can all become more creative through engaging our inner-self in our process. Creativity is the natural order of life, nothing we need to invent. Put simply, creativity is our gift. Our use of it is our gift to ourselves. We are intended to be creative.” ~ Julia Cameron. Well, … Continue reading
On The Road in 2010 – Good in Everyone

I drove my friends car most … Continue reading

________________________________________________________________________________ It’s been awhile since I have made a New Year’s resolution. The last resolutions I made, that I can recall, came over a three year span. My first year, I quit smoking, the second I eliminated caffeine from my diet, and finally, the third year I stopped eating chocolate; all cold turkey. I stayed … Continue reading
On the Road in 2010 – Hockey at Fenway Park
Happy New Year. It’s 2010! Well, it’s 6:24 pm on January 2nd, and my first post in 2010, is literally coming from on the road. I am in Boston Massachusetts to be exact. Working on very little sleep. My traveling compadre who finished work back in Canada at 3am this morning, is having a catnap; … Continue reading
The Final Assignment
Originally posted Aug 3, 2008 @ 16:44 At the start of every class, we re-configure the tables and chairs so that they form a square around the room. It enables us to see each others face, instead of the back of one anothers heads. To feel their voices against our hearts, instead of lost in … Continue reading
Love is Forever
Splashing my freshly shaven face, I looked up into a faded mirror. Grasping the outer edges of the water basin, I stepped into my reflection. I removed one hand briefly to run my fingers through my sodden hair, and then I leaned in to take a closer look. Into my weary eyes, I searched desperately … Continue reading
