I hope everyone had a nice Father’s Day. I know I was spoiled. I was up late Saturday working on an article, and then I was aloud to sleep in until 8:30 on Sunday morning. Believe me, that is late when you have kids. Later that afternoon, I had a yummy dinner cooked for me and was able to spend much of the day with my dad, and my grandfather. You couldn’t ask for a better day; not to mention the weather.
My first For Dummies book arrived in the mail on Friday as well. I was so excited. Man I need a life. Chapters.Indigo must have the fastest shipping around. I have only read the intro and forward and such, but I am looking forward to digging much deeper this week.

Well, I received an email from Chapters.Indigo yesterday that my first For Dummies book is on it’s way.
I love getting parcels in general, but I am also excited to learn something new.
Yes, I am a nerd. Last mammoth manual I read was the MS Access 2002 bible. It is sitting on my work desk with many tabs that I created, sticking out of the pages. If reading the book didn’t make me a big enough computer geek, the tabs certainly do the trick.
WordPress for Dummies is only 408 or so pages so it’s not quite as long-winded as the 1500+ page Access bible was, but I think this is going to be a little less drag and drop than I thought it would be. As I struggled through adding a simple signature pic, I quickly realized that I have a lot to learn.
As you can see, I have now added a share button, signature image, and a profile pic, but I have yet to figure out why it doesn’t add that photo to my comments.
Bare with me, or better yet, come laugh with me; or at me if that is more fun.
Just trying to figure out how this Wordpress thing works. So much to learn. Just purchased Wordpress for Dummies - my first for Dummies book. I can think of a million other for Dummies books I should purchase.

Dog owners for Dummies
I leave it at that for today. So many cool little gadgets (I think they call them Widgets), that I have seen on other sites that I want to add, but to be honest, I don’t think I want anyone ‘Stumbling Upon’ this post.
